I put the Pedders HD endlinks and endlink bushings on about 5K miles ago. Today, I pulled the front wheels off to check the brake pads and noticed that both a driver's side endlink bushing (the top) and a passenger side endlink bushing (the bottom) were split. The passenger side bushing was about to fall out because it was split all the way through. What did I do wrong?? I remember installing them and tightening them down to a point where I could just barely spin the top bushings by hand. Is that too loose, too tight? I have Hotchkis swaybars and they were set in the middle. I do not track the car. I really liked the Pedders bushings because they rode much smoother than my Prothane bushings. However, now I have my Prothane bushings back on because of this. Pics attached (warning...I am not a photographer).

At least the endlinks were still straight!

You put the washers on upside-down. The dish goes out, away from the bushings.

They do not "cup" the bushings- this damages them under load.

Oops. I figured it was something I did, just wasn't sure what.
