from Wikipedia.......
An entirely new GTO on a new platform (Zeta, developed by Holden) should appear in or around 2008. Featuring more aggressive body work, the car may be a coupé with suicide doors, like the Mazda RX-8 and the Saturn ION coupe. General Motors is considering how could they could produce both the 2008 GTO and the 2007 Chevrolet Camaro without competing directly with each other. One possibility is to rebadge the GTO as a Buick model and appoint near-luxury refinements with a Northstar V8. This would set the Buick GTO as a personal coupe and the Camaro as a performance coupe. Pricing of the Buick GTO is said to start at $34,990 USD and the Camaro $22,990 USD.

yeah no freaking way that is gonna happen.
If anything you might see a longer body version of the camaro (more rear leg room) and more comfort interior on the same platform as camaro.
Zeta for GM-NA was deemed "too expensive" mainly because they would have to change the way thier plants work to build it here.
Buick was looked at to get the long wheelbase varient of the aussie car but that was pretty much cut awhile ago.

I heard a while ago, may have been scrapped, there was supposed to be a TT v-6 Grand National. Like I said. this was a while ago. Would have been cool.

That would bada$$ if the GNX came back. Too bad it got canned. I would have liked to get a factory V6 TT with rearwheel drive to park next to my GOAT that was badged GNX. GM bites...but I still love the general.
They could never have a Buick GTO, that would be so lame. It's bad enough getting all the GTO purist remarks about our GTO not being a real GTO. Could you imagine a buick GTO?

What ever happened to the Buick Super? I saw a few photos of the front end work, Looked like a Lucerne with a large front splitter and some other things. Looked pretty tough.

When the Camaro reappears it will be a 2008 model not 2007
