Is that your Clubbie? Congrats if it is!

Great car. Personally I prefer the more rounded looks of some previous model club-sports. The squared off edges are a bit at-odds with the curves IMHO. Can you post some pics for a comparison?

Very cool. I thought all HSVs were way highline though (specifically - non-leather seats?)?

Also, what does that 237 mean? I know it's not the KW rating...

Looks good! It's actually '297' and you're right that's Kw.

Yup its actually 297 and thats kW which equals around 400hp.
Unfortunately its not my car but yeah this Clubsport is probably the closest rush you'll get to an M5 for only a 1/3 of the price!

Here's a few pics of an older model clubsport:

I came across your car yesterday on that site, I had no idea you were a member here. I can't tell you how striking the HSV Coupes are in person. Seeing them in the flesh in Sydney cemented my will to build one out of a LS2 GTO if it all possible. :hail:

I'm not sure the Clubbies are better than the CTS-V, but it would sure be cool to see them parked side by side.

How come we do not get sedans like that in the US!

That is the type of car I would trade my 2 door GTO for.

Ah, I can only hope.

Normally on overclockers.com.au and ls1.com.au but have been lurking here for sometime picking up info on ls2 etc.

Made me appreciate what we normally take for granted when I see what you guys miss out on with standard Monaro/GTO compared to the models in Australia -- and then compare with the HSV GTO.

btw - You will love the LS2.

And we get the V-6 FWD Impala and Monte Carlo.

WHY GM WHY!?!?!?!?!!?!!?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!!??!?!?!?!!?!?!?!!?

Awesome car, I think in a Motor Trend I had a couple years ago they tested an M-5 versus one of the Commodore, and they were very impressed with level of performance against the M5. As I recall the Holden was at most a 1/2 second slower in 1/4 mi. But I could be wrong.

That is an awesome Clubbie! I have to say they look so much better than that damn Impala we have over here. Everyone from the states, notice the dead pedal. Can we get a part number for that? Thanks to all the OZ members for their help.

i dont know about those plastic front and rear spoilers. Won't take too long for the sun to fade those out if you live out in texas, etc.

But what pisses me off you guys get the kickass engine valve covers and ls2 badges. Sweet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey I live in Western Australia and it gets up to 40 - 50 degress celisus here. I have never seen a "Fadded" spoiler on a HSV, or holden for that matter. However some of the older cars (over 20 years old) can look a bit rough on the edges!!

:)

Does the Clubsport have the relocated fuel tank as well?

Odin

no it doesnt, all holden sedans have it under the boot. There'd be uproar if holden sold a 4dr sedan with such a small boot for its size.

looks awesome, sorta like a evo up front, a really brawny tougher looking evo, and as u go back it's just sweet. I actually like the black diffuser, looks alot more aggressive. The sharp lines look great too! If they had that stateside as a 4 door gto, I know which one I'd pick!
