first off let me intro myself, my name is tim and i am a horsepoweraholic.....
i just recently purchased a new torrid m6, 18's loaded gto... i traded in a CHERRY 03 silverado ss pickup with just 23,000 miles on it (to say how nice it is it sits inside the new car showroom at a cadilac dealer until sold, the owner says).... i trolled the site for a while before i purchased the goat and was very impressed w/ the info here..... well for my question, winter is coming soon and i want to take off the 18's and put on a winter tire.... what rims fit the goat....(ie, sunfire 98-present, bmw 85-01, t/a 89-present.........)
basically im just going to pick up some wheels throw some blizzacks on em and call it quits, plus i'll save mileage on the 18's....
was on the site for seven days looking aroud and couldnt really find the answer i needed, so please dont flame the new guy to hard:)

bmw 91- present is closest fit. but try it on to make sure they clear the calipers.
the hub sizes are different so you might have some vibration problems at high speeds unless you can find a 72.6 (bmw) to 69.6 (gto) centre hub locater.

Just to clarify. With regard to BMW wheels, chosing the correct model (3 series) is far more relevant than the year. Wheels from the larger series cars won't fit regardless of model year... but why bother bimmer rims at all? Why not purchase a set of factory (GTO) 17's and put Blizzaks on those?

oh btw.... there are TONS of threads on this subject! :judge:

ohh yer i forgot to mention that only 3 series bmw will fit 5,6,and 7 are the wrong offset.

i agree with havoc, set of 17 inch standard gto rims would be a better option.

i dont think anything smaller would clear the brakes.
