So I was checking out JHP's website(sponsor on the left) and I clicked on wheels...anyone notice you can get 18's that look identicle to our 17's?
This would be pretty cool! How many of those you think are running around the states?

I always disliked the flower look, even in 18's. Now they should make the 18" format in 17's.

Most people here don't like the factory design, no matter what the size. If you got those in 18", you'd be the only one I know of.

couldn't agree more....
stock 17" wheels either need to be chromed/powdercoated or sold to somebody who owns a VW beetle...

Umm, YEP! :gears:
The only reason I got the 18s was because they were an option. I have planned on replacing them since the day I picke up the car!:turbonaug

Everybody has to pick something they like. Personally, I think the stock 17's are great looking wheels. I got the stock 18's and I like them too, but they are kind of plain. I've always liked the VZ Monaro wheels for something different.
With some exceptions, like the Beyerns and DriftR's, I don't particularly care for a lot of the aftermarket wheels I've seen on the GTO. But, as I said, everyone has to get what they like.

I have to say that initially I disliked the "flower" 17's but after awhile they kinda grew on me. Still don't like'em enough to keep them though.;)
It's kind of frustrating shopping for wheels. So damn many to choose from I just can't make up my mind.:eek2:

I've always liked the "beefy" looks of the VZ's.

Most people...I think not. :sneaky:
The 17" OEM wheels look better then 90% of the crap that people go out and replace them with.

Compared to most cars, we have very few choices. Especially if you want a wider wheel.

Perhaps it is my perception. It seems like I see a lot of "I got new wheels" threads. Also note that I said on "here" (meaning this forum). There are still thousands of owners that are not members of this site. They may be satisfied with what comes on the car.

I like the 17's...the only whell I like better is the Monaro VZ...I'm just not a big fan of anything(other that VZ's) over 17inch.

I don't mind the look of the stockers, only problem is that getting them from AUS in 18s will run about 1300-1600.00 for the wheels alone. I really like some of the Holden factory wheels, but that is a lot of money for wheels, shipping across the globe is a bitch.
this is what I would take if I had my choice -

it's the stock wheel from the Lumina SS sold in the middle East.

Odd. Why that wheel? I'm looking at wheels from JHP also. If you are gonna pay for new wheels, you should get what you want the first time.

Very few but if they were offered I would have checked that box. Sort of foolish on GM not to offer more wheels(like this one) because many were already in existence and all that would be needed is a Pontiac arrowhead center cap.

Yeah I'm finding that out day by day in my quest for a new set. So far the VZ's are at the top of my list.

+2 (wife agrees)
I would only replace the stockers for significant performance enhancement needs such as lighter unspring weight, but an occasional driver doesn't need that and I like the low profile stock appearance. If they weren't so expensive I wouldn't mind the same style in a +1 but I would prefer to have more sticky wider tires that fit without rubbing or sticking out if I had my 'druthers.

you and the beetle's with the daisy wheels with yellow centers , LOL
i hate the fact the wheel has to many spots to clean up , and they are hard to get to , and clean up , granted mine has just over 600 miles on it
but previous experence with wheels , i like simple and smooth wheels , they are alot easier to clean up
but a set of 17's up front and 18's in the rear would be kinda cool
