Has anyone noticed the amount of road dirt that accumulates in the side skirts? The seal isn't very good towards the back tires. If you bang on them from the bottom you can here the stuff moving around.People complain about strange noises this could be one of the causes.

The first year I had my car. I took the side skirts, tail lamps and some other small pieces off. What I found was surprising. I think the first place these cars will rot is behind the rear of the side skirts.

Now, every year. I remove them and clean extreamly well.

just squirt some water in there to break up the dirt chunks, and maybe discreetly use RTV on any places where dirt can get in.

Yes, that is an accumulation point that needs to be cleaned. Thanks for bringing this up. Big water works on mine.

Power washing helps, and constantly rinsing that area out. RTV may hold too much moisture, and cause a differant problem.
