I have had these on my daily driver for 2 years without incident.... until today. Doh!
The good news is it only took me an hour to fix it like new. Fortunately the scraping only roughed up the lip. I was able to start with fine emery paper and work my way down to 600 wet, then polish with drill mounted buffer, finish with metal polish..... like new.
I will never complain about having polished rims again, if these had a finish of any type on them the outcome would have been expensive or lengthy.
Whew!
