:banghead: Curb > Me.
Making a U turn to park in front of my sister's house earlier ended in tragedy. I thought the curb was lowered, like a driveway, which I'm going to blame the bad light on, but apparently it wasn't. Heard a fat bang and parked it. Came out to find that it is very slightly bent, and the tire is flat. I really don't want to buy a new Nogaro, how much do wheel repairs cost?
WEAK!!!

If you Google for wheel repair, you'll find there are bunch of places.
You could also call up a high dollar repair shop, Mercedes dealership etc,
and ask who they use. They can do some amazing repairs, and last time I checked
the price was surprisingly reasonable, when the damage is only to the rim,
BUT, in my TOO DAMNED EXTENSIVE experience in bending rims, and they
were mostly TSW, usually the center section, the main hub structure is
knocked out of round and the wheels can't be repaired.

This has become a serious focus in my selection of custom wheels, especially
for performance cars approaching 2 tons in weight. Wheel brands that brag
about being lightweight are for 2200 lb cars.

In my experience, 3750 lb cars need right sturdy wheels, and more than 1.5"
of sidewall support between the metal and the pot-hole edge.

My focus is on potholes and unexpected road hazards.
Hard for any custom wheels to survive a direct curb crash.

Myself, I'd be looking at 17" rims if there was more selection of width, offset and deep dish style.

Ehh, on a TSW I would replace the rim, but thats if you can find them in stock.

Why replace the rim? I'm very short on cash, and this way will be over $100 cheaper.

If you could put the wheel on the hub, and put a cardboard shield over the
whole wheel with a hole cut out, so you cannot see anything but the center section,
so that you can't see the bent rim, and then spin the wheel. If the center section is bent,
then the wheel is not repairable, if the center is true and only the rim is bent,
then the wheel should be repairable.

Sorry to hear about the mishap. Good luck with the fix, however I'd be a little leary at high speeds. I'd be up for a new wheel myself.

For how long it may take and how much it will cost, I would just get a new wheel. How much is a typical TSW? $200?

I've got my 2nd set of TSW's and I'd probably do a new rim because you've got the chance its not repairable, and if it is, your halfway to having some rims for drag radials :) I'm probably going to purchase some 17's so I can run a set of DR's sometimes
