How about the SpongeBob: The Movie game? It's an AAA platformer based on the new SpongeBob film and has been rated E (everyone) by the ESRB. I also worked on it and want it to sell well :).

I also really enjoy Katamari Damacy. It's an odd Japanese game in which you roll a sphere around to collect all the objects in a level. The sphere grows larger as you collect objects, allowing you to obtain larger and larger items (eventually swallowing entire islands!).

I could only give you selections on what NOT to give them, but not what to get them.

We have "Shrek Super Party" for our X-box. It's really fun and my 8 yr old loves it. I don't know about playstation, but we have 4 controllers, so we can all play together. Bet your 7yr old would enjoy this game.

try any of the Spyro games

The first two on the PS1 were very good. Some ex-Check Six people (Spyro4 and up) worked on SpongeBob.

Wife says the same thing, loves all but the last Spyro because they switched up the control functions.
