supercharged my 05 gto. traction left something to be desired stock. now my stock 245 tires have become ice skates. i need new wheels and tires. i was thinking something like this...

18 x 9.5" with a 50 - 60mm offset

checked EVERYWHERE, bottom line- good luck. had someone mention to me that holden and our friends in australia have been dealing with this problem a lot longer than we have. he said there were a lot more wheel choices there. so my question is:

1. has anyone seen anything like i mentioned above in america?

2. does anyone have any idea how i could find something from australia?:aus_flag: :aus_flag: :aus_flag:

Get some stickier tires for the wheels you have if you are just looking for better traction. Wider tires on wider wheels won't necessarily help your traction issues.

If you want wider tires for the look, then by all means go for it.

CCW's - they made custom wheels for the GTO which will allow you to run wider rims and tires.

I bought some Enkei's with specs almost identical to what you are looking for. However, if you want to go that route, you will need to get past the argument of bolt pattern, 120.00 vs. 120.65. The Enkeis in the 9.5 width were designed for the Corvette and have the 120.65. I have run mine for several thousand miles on a daily driver with no problems. All I did was use a set of hub rings from CSiJason.

I check the lug nut torque about once a month, and they have never loosened at all.

Liquidmetal Static from Discount tire comes in 18X9.5 +50. They are $165 a wheel. These are the best I have found so far that come at that price. Should fit IMO.

Roh makes some that are 52-55 offset, but there are not many that are in that range.

Drift R's, Vette rims, or custom. That's about the only option for the perfect offsets. Been searching for a long time and still can't find the style I like in the offsets I need, I'll probably end up with a 45mm offset rim and cut the fenders.
