Here is the question of the day, I need a new set of track wheels (autoX). I want either a 17x8.5 or a 18x8.5 all around. I don't care about looks, but no chrome. Scratches, scuffs, I don't care. I would prefer a lighter wheel than I have now, but that isn't major either, I think I have enough torque to turn anything. I basically want to spend as little as possible since the tires are going to cost a bit.
Please help.
Thanks in advance.

Have you thought of tring the stock 17's. I know they are a half inch narrower than what you are looking for but maybe they will work...

Light weight and spend as little as possible don't really go together. Most of the cheap rims don't list weight so it's going to be tough searching for them on the web.
But here is one that should work, if you don't care for how they look.

That's not a bad wheel at all. The price isn't bad at all. I think that might be it.
Currently I'm running BMW wheels (free from work) but there 17x7. I can't get enough meat on them.
Thanks :search:
