need some help with tires size

i need bigest size of tire fit on 17 stock monaro size .
i alerdy but 245/45/ 17 rear
and 235/45/17 front

and i need bigest size of tire on rear
i need somthing fit without any problem in rear

and i well buy weld rimes what is the part number ofit that fit diarectly on monaro or other rims for street and drag racing

You might be able to go with a 255/35 17 on the rear on the stock 17s. If you want to go bigger I highly recommend a wider rim, like a 9 or 9.5 if you are really wanting to go wider. The stock 17s are a 8 wide rim. If your going to go wider in the rear you could go 265/40 17 or 275/40 17 on a wider rim, but you will most likely need the fenders rolled. Unless you can find a wheel with a 55 offset. Also the stock 17s have a 45 offset I believe and have a 5 x 120 bolt pattern.

Lots of people are running a 275 40 17 on the stock 17's in drag radial form, but I don't know about running that much tire on an 8 inch wide wheel on a daily driven basis. I have a spare set of 17's just for that. I will be running that combo soon.

There was a thread on this, where a guy from Houston was running a 265 40 18 on the factory 18x8's. He said they were bridgestones and they actually hooked decent at the track too.

i put 255/45/18's on some 18x7.5 rims, drove it everywhere with no bulge and no problems

I am running 255/40/17 on the stock rims in the rear without issue. Not much bigger in width. I have 235/45/17 on the front so they equal out.
