Just ordered some chrome Ruff 281's from Sean at Top Shelf today. 20x10 rear and 19x8.5 front. Toyo T-1R tires in 275/30r20 and 235/35r19. The sidewalls will match at 3.25 inches. I have the Pedders 5/16 lift spring, drag bags, and trimmed fender lips. So this setup should fill out my wheelwell nicely. I was thinking of machining the rears to a 50 offset before I even put them on, but since they are coming with the tires mounted I will try them out first.

They should be here next week. The week I fly to Salt Lake City to work all week. So I will have to wait until February 3rd to mount them and take lots and lots of pictures. I think I'll even wax the car this weekend in preparation for her brand new shoes.:burnout:

Cool! Should look great.

How much do the 20x10's weigh?

I have no idea. I'll call Sean tommorow and ask. Also, this isn't a performance mod. If I want fast times at the track I'll throw the stock wheels back on with some drag radials.

You got a 10" wheel on the back? What offset? What tire? Is the rear fender lip even there?

Fenderlip? What's that? Seriously though, some of it is still there. The rear wheels are 20x10 with a 45 offset. Using this calculator: http://www.bigcustomwheels.com/rt_specs.jsp I figured that my current setup is .9 inches farther out toward the fender (17x9 40mm offset w/ 275/40r17). The new setup is only going to be .7 inches farther out. I will actually have more clearance. Once I get the wheels and put them on I will know for sure. I'll post pics once they are on. The tires I got are Toyo T-1R in 275/30r20. If you don't know the stock wheel specs they are 17x8 with a 48mm offset. Just plug that into the calculator on the left and play around with the one on the right with different wheel widths, offsets, and tire sizes.

Either you punched in the wrong numbers or you need to try another calculator because these wheels (20x10 w/45ET) will stick out approx. 5/16" more than the current (17x8 40et) set up. Even if machined to +50ET they will still protrude 2mm more than your current rims.

17x9 not 17x8.

Typo... Yeah, 17x9 40et. The rest still stands. You'll have less clearance.

Which calculator do you use? Or do you know the math on how offsets and rim width work? I am not to clear on it and would appreciate it if you could shed some light on the subject. Sean is checking with the folks who make the Ruff wheels and seeing how much I can safely machine off the back. I also plan on calling CCW and checking what offset they use for a 10 inch wheel. I thought I read someone had CCW's with 53mm offset. I just can't remember if that was for a 9.5 or 10 inch wheel.

CCW's are 47/54ET (10" rear). That's straight from CCW and it's been confirmed with an actual backspace measurement.

I know the math but it's much quicker just the throw the numbers into an offset calculator. Here's a good one: http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp

whats the link to the site where you bought a rim wide enough for 10 inch tires?

Between the calculator you gave me and the one I used there seems to be some conflict. I would rather know the math so I can tell which one is correct. The calculator I use accounts for the tire size as well. I was going by that. I'll find out when they get here. Like I said before, I can always get the mounting faces milled 5-10mm and be set.

Sorry to go off topic...
Did you confirm this? I was reading for awhile that CCW wasn't giving the offset numbers to anyone.

Can't say it any plainer than that!
...but just to be completely clear, ONLY the rear offset was confirmed as the front offsets have never been of much concern.
