A few years ago 5 of us friends deciced to take the Virginia concealed carry class. We knew the instructor well and used his range a few times a week. The night before the class we were all hanging out and we bet one of the guys $100 he wouldn't dare do the class with his .50 Desert Eagle. He took the bet. You had to shoot 150 rounds for the course. By the time the class was over his shooting hand was swollen and bloody, he also had cuts and burns all over his face and chest from the flying empties. :gr_jest: :shiner:
Everytime the .50 went off the concusion would sweep the brass in front of his lane.

.577 T-Rex is a no shit round. It's used by safari companies for an emergency "gotta stop that thing now" type shot. It can stop a cape buffalo usually with one shot.

I'm sure that would have no problem stopping the biggest of African game, but with that crappy design you better hit it on the first shot, cause your not getting a second. That's not too far from how a .50 cal would kick without a muzzle brake. There is no way that gun should have been designed w/o a brake, I would bet some of those guys in the movie got hurt pretty good. 11,000 ft/lbs is just insane.

watch closer...several different guns. One looks like a TC. You can tell by the lower lever. A few look to have a much shorter bolt. I gotta call

I have a shorty .458 winchester mag and I think it is the worst I have ever shot. It has iron sights and I would never shoot it with a scope. Also have a Weatherby .460 and it shoots nice.

Have shot a 600 nitro H&H, and was not that bad.
After 4 or 5 rounds you do get a :quoties: bit :quoties: sore though.


the Barrett .50 BMG is as docile as a 12 ga. as it is very heavy..

Largest I know of is the infamous 1.008 Vincent Buffalo Thumper.

None of those guys (except the last) knew how to properly fire a rifle, much less a large caliber one. No one was tucking the toe of the buttstock into the shoulder pocket, in fact everyone had the buttstock on the fleshy part of the shoulder or the arm muscle. Nor did they pull the rifle in tight. No wonder they couldn't shoot it. With proper mounting and stance, it would be a much different video.
