So my girlfriend has been a bit "nervous" about shooting. She had no interest in guns at all. Well that all changed in a single pull of the trigger. I went to the range with a few buddies and had her come. She was pretty nervous. I loaded her up, had her fire for her first time. BANG! What a smile. She unloaded several clips before moving on to try every gun everyone else had brought. lol. I had a voice in the back of my head saying "shes a keeper." She is good too.

my wife has and shoots the 9mm S&W 3913 in my pics of our handguns. if you noticed....it has a lazier site on on it. the reason is, outdoors...she can pluck a dime off a bobby pin at 25 feet.......indoors...she freaks out...at the range...she jerks the trigger.....has trouble focusing...... so since she uses her gun for home protection only....(no CWP)... the lazier....she can eject mags and reload rapidly.... but i have taught her:.. put the red dot on the target and squeeze...... end of story. LOL

my wife is not a big fan of shooting. she shoots a little 10/22 and is DAMN good with it, but she is not a fan of recoil, and the biggest thing she will shoot is an AR. forget about her shooting the fun rifles like my M14 or Garands

My wife use to hate shooting until I took her to a defensive shooting course without her knoledge. By the time we were there she had no choice. I took several guns for her to choose. She tried a Walter PPK 380, a Colt Lady 38, just in case a Seecamp 32, a bunch of my 45's in different configurations, but she finally settled on the Glock 23 .40SW. The first day she was a little scared, but by the second day she was in love with it. The course was over two long weekends, 3 days ea. by the first Sunday she could not wait to get back, she shot over 700 shots over the two weekends. Needless to say, we go shooting often, she is very cormfortable with her Glock and it is always close to her.

that said i have gotten my now GF behind a garand and a colt pony and she was equally good with both, enjoyed it too.

The first time I took my g/f (wife) shooting I created a monster. She has more guns than I do now, a complete set of S&W revolvers, .22 to .44.

The keepers will eventualy value guns as much as diamonds. And she was talking tonight about keeping the GTO :quoties: forever:quoties: .

:ftw: :yumyum:

Her favorite gun after years of shooting and CCW is her 5 shot .357. I've always been a 1911 guy, but that's cool.

I took my wife shooting once......it was indoor, the range was packed, she cried, she slammed her thumb nail with the slide and said she won't do it again. She was using my Springfield XD-40. She'll do it again:thumbs: All the training I gave her went out the window when she heard and saw how many other people were shooting. She just couldn't concentrate. I tried not to laugh......

Indoor ranges are very different than outdoor. A lot more distractions and noisier. I prefer outdoor to indoor. Glad to see you got her interested in another one of your hobbies. Get involved in one of hers next! ;)

My wife loves shooting. 45 cal and she's deadly. She only shoots Kimbers and she has 4. Every time I've bought a new Kimber it becomes her new favorite.

I love guns and love to shoot. I started with HK 45 (laura croft gun and still love it hands down), then I went to 9mm, 357, 38, and then up to rifles and shootguns. I love Browning shootguns, but my most favorite to shoot was the HK MP5. I really got into shooting and guns with an ex BF (loved them before we got together though), but my husband and I have really enjoyed shooting together (permits coming soon). NOTE: My husband was out shoot by me not only with a shootgun, but also an AR-15 pelt gun. We laugh about it today.

Wifey loves to shoot my (claims hers) Python, and the Ladysmith (which is MY favorite carry gun over all the autos, pull trigger, go bang, no shells to pickup..thought my Bersa 45 would be good carry gun, but the ladysmith is so light for them summer clothes). Also loves the .243 and AR15. Likes to shoot skeet but doesnt go much.
