Hey fellow Drift-ers. My T1 toyo proxes are down to my last 2/32nd tread so I'm in search for some new tires. I have the staggered 19's 8 and 9 and the car is lowered with very minor fender grinding for added insurance from rubbing. I've heard toyo were the choice for our cars because they have a narrow sidewall than most other brands.

So what brand tires and sizes did you replace the toyos with?

Thanks

toyo's are crap (imo)

I don't know what all is available in 19's
but I'd probably just throw some Nitto 555 D/R's on there

what size tires do you 19"ers run?

Sizes are 245-35-19 front, 275-30-19 rear.

C'mon drift-r people I need some input.

toyo tires are great, and you cant put nitto DRS on 19 inch tires because they only make up to 18

just to link a few. tire rack has a lot of options, might want to spend some time over there and see what fits your budget first.

Thanks for those who replied.

Yes I'm aware of the all the brand tires in my sizes. I'm mostly interested in people who are currently running drift-r's with other brand tires other than Toyos. I'd like to get some first hand experience with fitment and ride quality.

So I guess there's nobody here who has yet to purchase new tires with this set up yet. :shiner:

I'm leaning towards BFG's or Nittos which do make these sizes in 19"s.

I'm going to be in the same situation shortly, but I have 18's, staggered. Since the Toyo is a round shoulder design, would running a normal shoulder design in 265 rather than 275 work? I'm guessing the contact patch would be almost the same, so unless you're hung up on having the 275 designation, wouldn't a 265 be a good choice? Also, wouldn't that open me up to more tire choices since I wouldn't have to worry so much about the tire shoulder design?

I'm just guessing here as I have no personal experience with this, but when the time comes for me to changed, I'd like to know what my options are going to be as well...
