ok, I think this is my final question on the offset/backspacing dilema. All I want to know is, does offset directly reflect what your backspacing will be? I mean, if you are using the stock tires 245/45/17, and you go with a 17X8 like 39, 40, or 44mm offset, there will only be one backspacing avialble for each one of those right? so you can only pick your offset right? and backspacing is automatic?
I ask this b/c someone on the forums had the smoothie II's, and went with a 44mm offset, on the stock rims and tires 17's. So I have the calculator that figures out what the backspacing would be for 44mm offset, it says 158mm. So the guy with the 44mm, had to have a 158mm backspacing with those, it automatically works out to that, correct?
Sorry if this sounds stupid, I just want to make sure that they fit perfect, I mean, they take like 6-10 weeks to be made, and I probably wouldn't be able to return them, and last they cost money! Thank you.
