About to order Nogaros...

Tax man has paid me, and I'm about to order some 18x8 40mm offset silver Nogaros from buywheelstoday.
I was thinking about getting 245/40-18 BFG KDW's but was told they run a little wide and to go with the 235/40-18's. No problem.
But anyone else have any 3 season tire recommendations of tires they liked before I order? :)

just a bit of info here. i have 245/40/18 KDW2s sitting in my garage right now waiting for my wheels. the KDWs are almost 1" wider than my Dunlop 245 snow tires.

now, i did have the orginal tread pattern KDWs before the snow tires. i liked them alot, hence why i went with the KDW2s for the new wheels

Sounds about right to me. BWT suggested the 235 as they told me the KDW series runs a tad on the wide side.
Looks like I'm headed that way and I'll just have to hope these tires aren't as noisy as I keep reading. :eek2:

I read this post and then came back to re-read it. The thought that I had was: If the KDW2's are almost 1" wider than the Dunlops then are we talking about 25.4 mm wider, which would put you at approximately 270 mm? Or do the Dunlops run narrow? I guess that what bugs me is that one purchases a tire, 245-series for instance, and one does not know how it is going to fit on their car because not all tires are created equal. It seems to me that if you buy a 245-series tire, the tread ought to be 245 mm, a width that matches every other tire sold as a 245-series tire. Maybe I should just add this to my lifetime wish list. ;) Then again, perhaps it is just a case of weekend insanity that has raised its ugly head. Things that make you go hmmm...

ill take a picture of it tommorrow with the KDW2 side by side with the dunlop. its noticably bigger. and the 275 is monstrouous
