I also bought my son his first gun.....

third one from the top. its stainless with a laminated stock and a bull barrel. My son is 7 years old and got to shoot his uncles 10-22 this past deer season when we were at camp.

he shot an amazing group and I kept the target. the boy is gonna be a natural.

Nice stuff. My first gun, gift from my dad, was a Ruger .22. Still got it, great cheap way to shoot.

yep. 500 rounds for around 12 dollars. and my inlaws farm will provide a lot of fun. they have a couple hundred acres of pasture land, very flat.....with lots of varmints to shoot at.

the .22 is a great cheap way to have fun, shame i no longer have the land to use one... and im not really wanting to pay huge feeps at the gun range

Nice pickups. That Kimber is pretty sexy looking. I was thinking about getting that one for a while, but I feel I am going to go with the S&W 1911.

yes sir. I have seen several of your posts. I had a hard time today making up my mind between the one I got, and the raptor of the same size. the raptor also had an ambi safety, but it didnt have the magwell.

with the raptor you kind of trade the magwell for the fancy grips and the fancy slide serations.

I have looked at several of S & W 1911s and they look like very high quality pieces.

Ive never fired one though.

i bought that exact same XD when it first hit the market.. had the tip from a guy that writes for gun mags after he had tested it... went on a waiting list in fact... i love that gun. its our home cannon.... even the wife can shoot it because of low recoil.

+1 on the xd .45 4 inch.

Was at the range yesterday with a few friends and we had the target set up 50 YARDS out, shooting a .22 rifle at it. So I got an idea. Sat down, without a bench rest, just the table and popped off 5 shots. Had one of those black ovals that turn yellow when you hit it. First two shots were direct hits. Other three hit the paper, but missed the oval. At 50 YARDS.

if you buy just a basic custom, or pro carry, you wont spend much more than you would on a nice gloc or beretta.

I picked up my custom full size with night sites for 600.00 used. it had about a thousand rounds through it when I got it.

just watch gunbroker and auctionarms and you will find one.

So fun to fire, it's hard to see in the pic but it's 2-tone, black and stainless.
