Magnaflow Cat-back coming soon ...

I just finished seeing the new GTO exhasut make over 10 RWHP and 12 RWTQ with no sacrifice to interior noise or annoying resonance while offering a nice smooth exhaust note - Big imrovement over the stock note. A Tru-X crossover, straight through designed custom mufflers, and true dual 2.5" mandrel tubing. During development, I saw them disect the stock system to find that, while it looks like has an "H" pipe, is not equiped with a balance tube ... the tube is solid on both ends and is only a structural support. Kind of similar to the factory H-pipe on vettes (only a .75" hole in a 2.5" tube.) Should be available from your local dealer pretty soon (2-4 weeks from what sales and marketing said.)

BTW- I think I have an idea what my daily driver is going to be now ... GTO's have a great balance of power and style and most of all fun to drive. My only reservation is being a truck guy the SRT-10 in the shop still has a special place in my heart - 500/500 dont hurt to have either;) decisions decisions.

How does H-Pipes and X-crossover pipes help the performance of a car?

Can we go with dual 3" cat-back pipes to the back of the car and out?

That is an interesting thought. I have a Magnaflow exhaust on my Lightning and love the sound of it!

I will probably want to hear it first though. I like the stock exhaust on the GTO.

Keep us updated.

Thanks!
