When I removed my winter tires and wheels today I had to use a rubber hammer to get the wheels to come off. This was after I removed all of the lug nuts. The wheels were 18" ASA A3's.
Has anyone experienced this, or know how to prevent it next winter?
Thanks,

Put some anti-seize on the hubs, shouldn't have any more problems.

Common problem.
If you have a NAPA near you, get some SylGlide to help keep the wheel from bonding with the rotor hat...

Once I took my GTO to have its tires rotated and the guy had to wiggle the front wheels back and forth quite a bit before they came off.

I just took off my "winter" wheels a couple of weeks ago and it was extremely difficult. This was because my winter set are the factory 17" wheels, but I recently got them powder coated. So the part of the hub that fits inside the wheel had even less clearance because of the powder coat thickness. I had to rock them, kick them, etc. for what seemed like forever to get 3 of the 4 off.
I need to pick up a dremel tool to take off the powder coat on the wheel in that area.

SylGlide? I'm not familiar with that. What's in it? I did a thin layer of antisieze over the hat. It works fine, but it's a PITA and a little messy.

It's a silicone grease. Holeshot recommended that I use it (actually gave me some), and I had no issues last year getting the wheels off (though I guess I'll find out if 4+ months of winter storage makes much of a difference, when I put my CV8-R's on in a few weeks)...

Yep, I had to use a rubber mallet also. I was drenched in sweat and PISSSED!

^^^ Same here. There was some rust build up that we removed with a wire brush and light sand paper, then put the anti-seize. I'm glad I was not stranded in the middle of nowhere.

Yes, used the ole rubber hammer to them. If that doesn't work, loosen the bolts, just loosen do not remove. Put car forward about 5mph, stomp on brake. Should loosen bolts if rubber hammer doesn't work.
