Boy, that's a good MSRP...$1199 for cats with O2 extensions, and they're coated. Hmm...

I have the Longtubes w/cats on order through my local SLP dealer. They were scheduled to ship late last week and are due in the middle or end of this coming week. As soon as my dealer says they're in the, car is going in for the install. My dealer is also putting a set on his GTO. As soon as I get mine done, I'll provide info and images. Or when I drop mine off I'll take a gander at his. If all goes as planned it'll be done the 8th or 9th at the latest.

We've sold a few sets and I believe a local customer is supposed to be coming in for an install next month.
I'm sending you an order tonight for the BMR 3 1/2" Alum driveshaft, Spec 3 Clutch and ??? Maybe ??? some longtubes, trying to get the other $100 off. :gr_jest: The plastic is smokin :banghead: What longtubes are in stock? You seem low on the SLP's and high on the SW? Any thoughts?

The only thing I dont like about the coated ones (and I would want coated headers) is that they are 409 stainless so they will be much more likely to crack then 304s.

I got my SLP long tubes from TBYRNE. I’ll post some pics as soon as I can. Took less than a day to install. I can’t say enough good things about them. I kept the stock mufflers and what a diff in the sound.
The part number is 30164…..

Do they split the rack like the others?

i wouldn't mind seeing pictures of the underside, to see whether they affect clearance or not.

Clearance under the car is about the same. So lowering it won’t be an issue.
The rack is good but the steering arm goes through the headers. Not a big deal though. The hardest part of that was reconnecting the power steering fluid lines.
I'm hoping to get to the track some day, but work keeps me pretty busy.

You should have it tune to gain max hp and torque, Ibm/m6 did his kooks and the motor was pulling timing and dumping fuel, You really won't feel the real power intil then!!!

I do want to tune it but I need to save up. The best price I got was $400. I need to find a money tree. Plus with all the other projects in the garage, as long as I have a car that is running I am happy...

nice but tune is a must if you plan on seeing the true benefit of these . my car gained almost 40hp and 40tq after tune . gtotech101 is absolutely correct as he is the one who first scanned my car to see if everything was cool ,as well as clearing the codes...Id bet your around 300-310hp and 310-315tq with all the fuel and lack of timing from your factory tune .

How do you think these will hold up compared to 304 stailess?

I bet money he has more than 300-310.. Check my sig for what I got with long tubes/CAI and no tune.. I had 308 with just the CAI.

I dont know what was wrong with mine then cause pretty much same mods
basleine with k&n ,powerflow , and kooks 298-310 . explained to me as car was at 14 total timing and way rich from computer compensating for added flow

There have been a few people that had low timing from the factory I think - Headers do make it real rich, but you still should gain some.. At least you got it all back with the tune though.. :D

I got 327HP and 346TQ with LTs with cats, catback, and CAI before a tune.
After tune I got 330HP and 349TQ (Going from a pretty lean air fuel to a flat 12.8-13:1 at tailpipe). I played around with my spark advance but found it was best to keep it at a max of 25 from 4000 to 6000rpm.

I'm hoping that a tune helps but I kept the stock muffs and so there is a little restriction after the high flow cats. I can feel a difference just goofin' around on the street.
Not to many ricer want to mess with me any more when I down shift though...... The popping is pretty intimidating now..... :p

You need to disconnect the battery after doing any mod. This tells the computer to reset all settings and it goes into learn mode. My car feels much stronger with Kooks and I don't have a tune.

I agree with grfperformance. It is highly recommended to disconnect the battery....
