Switched to a much tighter Vig 2800,as my car is a daily driver.

for me it was too loose, but TCI said they would change the stall for $50. i could still send it in under my name.

Do a search on it man, it's how the trans feels when driving around under the stall speed. A 2800 will feel tighter because it locks up earlier. Some people don't mind a 3200 stall but IMO it's the border line for a DD in a GTO.

That said a transgo shift kit for not much money would firm up the line pressure and shifts enough to make a 3200 livable.

Best thing to do is find someone with a stall in their car near you and drive it around normally for a few mins.

i would recomend, like city goat said, take a drive in somebody's car that has a higher stall converter so you know what to expect.

I should add, that TCI will re-stall the converter for me for $50.00, if some one would want a tighter set up.
