I have access to a fender roller so rubbing with 275's won't be a problem but my questoin is....

How bad would i be screwing myself if i got 275's for my rears. I know with the our cars, the tires need to be rotated every 5k or so. Is rotating just left to right instead of front to back as well good enough?

Sooo...not so much a question as advice i suppose.

Also is there a signifcant difference going with 275s over the stock 245?

You obviously get a wider contact patch with the 275's which typically means more grip. How much more? That depends a bit on the tire. Switching a tire from left to right doesn't do exactly the same as moving front to back. The front tires have a different "duty" than the rears, and because of this, they wear differently. You will replace your rears before your fronts if they don't get rotated front to back, so you are basically weighing the money it will cost to have to replace your tires a little sooner vs. getting a little extra grip and a slightly more muscular stance. A number of people run staggered wheels/tires, and I run wider rear tires than fronts (though on stock rims) and most will say it is worth the extra coin. Good luck in your decision!
