its about time to replace tires, and the price of the bfgs is hard to digest! i put a set of toyos on liked the looks, but the had a lot of freeway noise compared to bfgs. toyos had the 30 day guarantee,so i took them back.a shame because i really liked the tread design and the price...$580 monted and balanced.does anyone have any other suggestions on a quality tire at a cheeper price than bfgs, that they are happy with all around

What price range you looking at?
What is most important to you in a tire?
Do you need an all season tire?

:iagree:

IMO, you can't go wrong with these. General Exclain UHP, for the money, one of the best.
These tires are the exact same tire as the Continental SportContact (I think) but are 1/2 the price.

I have these tires on my dd, a 2000 BMW 323i Sportwagon, 225/45-17 front, 245/40-17 rear. When I bought them, the fronts were $61/ea, rears were $72/ea.
One of the best deals going. Got them delivered the next day (Tire Rack has a warehouse in Newark, Del, about an hour from here). Had my local NTB mount and computer balance with hidden tape weights for $21/axle.

They handle very well in dry, never had an issue in the wet stuff, relatively quiet on the highway, and have a taught, but comfortable ride.

Compared to the tires on my GTO, Kelly Evo, (not my choice, car came with them) which seem to be good tires, but I discovered that on concrete highways, these things HOWL!

Anyway, Exclaim UHP's are going on the GTO next time it needs tires.

don't buy the Dunlop Direzza DZ101's. mine are brand new and suck asz. they're so greasy it's like driving in the rain all the time.

i have been looking at these tires and honestly for the price i dont see how u can go wrong when any other tire in that group on tire rack would be almost 100 dollars more.
