Ok guys my GTO is getting a Procharger put on. It will mostlikely put me at about 500 horsepower to the wheels maybe a little less maybe a little more not sure so I am going to need a good traction tire. My question is what BFGoodrich g-Force T/A Drag Radial size will work best for my aftermarket wheels. The car is not really a DD but more like a weekened car, I got 18 by 8 wheels in the rear. I found these sizes on Tirerack.com 245/40R18, 265/40R18, 275/35R18. thanks for your input.

I'm in the exact same boat and have been debating on the DRs and the KDWs that BFGoodrich offers.
I have drag bags and will not cut/roll my fenders, so I'm afraid the 265s will rub. The KDWs come in a 255 which would be fine I would think.
So its either the 245 DRs or the 255 KDWs...but I haven't decided yet.
I do do a little highway driving back and forth to home from school every couple of weeks or so, so I'm thinking the KDWs will hold up longer.

I wouldn't do DR's for the street personally but I would go with the 245's or 265's. DR's work better with more sidewall than regular tires. The suck in corners though.
I bought 15 in beamer wheels to mount MT DR's on for the track.

BF Goodrich is not making any more 245/40/18 DR's, I have a friend that works for BFG and he said that they stopped production on that size, There are some still out there but they are becoming very difficult to get and soon their won't be any left. I bought a set of the 245/40/18's just to hang on to because of this. They hook better then any other DR that I've had, they are awesome...Hope this helps..

Where can I get some of those wheels? I will look at ebay.

I have 245/40/18 BFG Drag Radials on my 05 A4. Next week I should be getting my ProCharger from EPP. My GOAT is bone stock with the exception of Drag Bags, Kooks LT's, catless midpipes, Magna Flow rear exhaust, and a Yank SS 3600stall converter. I haven’t yet had it tuned either. On dry pavement if I jump only half throttle it breaks traction real bad!!!!! Due to the converter still being new and all I haven’t done any WOT passes yet. But I can tell you that the BFG drag Radials will not hold up. And given the ProCharger will be here soon I have to rethink the traction situation. My GOAT is just a toy and nothing more. I'm seriously thinking about getting some Weld Draglites. If you are like me and only interested in straight line performance I would suggest getting a tire+rim more suited for drag racing.

I just ordered a pair.
How much life do you guys get from yours? Mine will be for the track only...so about how many runs do you think you can get out of these?

Look at the 3 series BMW aftermarket wheels, especially the E39 and E46 (think that is right). Find some with 9 inch width and 45 mm backspacing. Mount the 275s wooot!!! If you are going to spend that much on engine mods I'd recommend Holeshots, Skinnies, and the BFG. Check posts by Perdieu and Housewolf. They've got the best hooking setups I've seen.
