Bought a Accel filter off 5point7. He didn't ship when he claimed he already had, then ignored pm's and posts about where it was until I finally got. Ends up it was shipped the day he told me it should've been delivered to me. A man of many excuses. Not my way to do good business.

I disagree with this. I think it would serve everybody well to hear about bad sellers.

Uh....so you encourage this kind of posting. Fine by me. Like I care. Let them slug it out. I hope this post becomes a back and forth posting war for everyone to see. I will be in the front row of the BUYER FEEDBACK forum with the biggest bucket of popcorn enjoying every insult, every put down, every complaint, every flame.
So 5point7, how do you respond? Looks like this guy RED04GTO is pretty pissed at you. I would escalate it if I were you. I need to read something really juicy. Don't disapooint. Forget the PM. After all, this is buyer feedback.....

What forum is this? DG how about you stay out? Does this concern you unless you are buying or selling to this dude? I posted what happened in our transaction and how I felt about it. He is more than welcome to reply. But my post will stay. No flames here. Just posted what happened.

This is not an area for fighting. If someone has a good or bad experience with purchasing an item from a vendor or other board member it can be posted here. If they can work out their problems even better... but no fighting.

Perhaps it'd be useful to have a convention in the Buyer Feedback forum whereby the person posting about a bad experience has the thread locked after posting the complaint such that it's an advisory...if the person accused or congratulated wants to respond, they have to talk to a mod. Such that these threads don't turn into flame wars. :)

yeah but this has already been posted back and forth in a different thread, so here we are again..........
and the other thing I don't get is members can insult members in buyer feedback but you cant say didly about a vendor cause that gets hush hushed and swept to a private area.

Oh god, here we go again.
This guy posted the same crap in another thread and the moderator found it unnecessary and deleted it. This guy is the most difficult person I have EVER delt with. I am NOT a business. I am a regular person who gave another GTO owner a good deal on a filter.
I TOLD him, my trunk got frozen shut, the filter was in it. It was like -2 here in Detroit that week and it took me a few days to get it out. If he wanted me to rip my trunk lid off, sorry. I offered him a refund and I offered to try and compensate for the few days extra it took to ship. I have never heard so much whining in my life.
To top it off, in the OTHER thread he posted and in PM's and E-mails he stated he has family in Detroit, he then threatened to come "visit" me and physically harm me and people around me. I do not need to put up with that.
If it ruins my rep on here, that sucks. I love this site and have been a member for quite a while now. I have sold things to other people and they have been happy. If any of them see it, I hope they chime in.
This IS the buyer feedback area, so be it. He is free to post what he wants. But to RED04GOAT I say.. **** YOU.

I agree with you completely DB. Fact is, 5point7 is NOT a commercial vendor with a website, 1-800 numbers, staff, and an office or a warehouse like say TByrne or CARMotorpsorts. This was a private transaction between two individuals that somehow got sour. So I don't see the point of this being in the buyer feedback section. I am in no hurry to buy anything from 5point7, and I doubt if anyone else is either.
I only posted my first reply above because I was wondering if the seller had his PM feature off, or if it is already filled with messages and therefore could not be contacted, etc. I was not trying to be a smart ass. It was just embarassing that 3 threads had to be started about the same topic by the same disgruntled buyer from the same non-responding seller.
But of course, my post had to twisted around like I had some hidden agenda or something. I couldn't care less.
If you guys feel this dirty laundry needs to be aired out, at least make it entertaining for the rest of us. Let's see some real blood. Take the gloves off. I got my popcorn ready in the microwave.

What do you want?!?! I took a few extra days to ship, I TOLD you I was sorry time and time again. I ONLY stopped pming you when you started threatening me.
He got the accel filter for $20 (so after shipping and paypal fee, I took about $12 for it). I think is a good deal, I know I could get over the misfortune since it was such a low price (but thats just me and I am an understanding, ADULT).

All I can say is YES, he paid me. YES, it took me a few days to ship it out, due to circumstances out of my control. YES I ignored him when he started threatening to come to my home. YES he did get the filter. YES this deal has been over for weeks.
YES, I kind of would like him to come "pay me a visit", I want to see the 12 year old behind the name.

YES!!!!! He started a whole other thread about it. The mods deleted it. He said he has family in Detroit and visit's twice a year. He would be stopping by to "pay me a visit".

must be a cheap guy . $20 and starts all this . I piss that away thinking about it . Fight and threaten over a filter then slam you in public view . The only feedback here should be don't sell to that guy . Unless you like to be brought out for $20

Well, just to set the record straight, I didn't threaten to come to anyones house and kick anyones ass. If the mods wish to bring the original thread back, thats fine. I have explained to others through pm's that the money does not matter, it was the principal and the lying. Had 5point7 bothered to tell me what was really going on or replied to my pm's and posts to let me know why the filter wasn't there when he said it would be, there would have been no problem. As for 5point7 making fun of my profession or my ability to take care of my own business, don't let your mouth start something your ass can't back up. You all can make up your own mind. I told you all exactly what occurred, and he doesn't dispute that. If you choose to deal with him, more power to you. As for you who decided to jump in the thread and post your opinions on it, I see several good seller threads that you saw no problem with. If only we could all be mods or admin, as some of you seem to think you are.........

I have read enough. These are the facts.
5 point 7 offered an article for sale. He is responsible for making it available. He has stipulated he certainly got the money but did not deliver as promised. It was his responsability to do so. This was no COD deal.
Redo4GTO paid in good faith for the article. The article was not delivered. The other party had his money and has stipulated that he ignored the pm's sent to him on grounds he was threatened. If he could not deliver to customer satisfaction he should have refunded him inmediately unless otherwise agreed by the buyer.
Truth is the customer paid for the merchandise, merchandise was not delivered as agreed and seller kept the money for whatever reason while ignoring the customer. If seller came to the point of not wanting to deal with this customer anymore for whatever reason he certainly had no right to retain his money. The unbreachable principle here is that money exchanged hands in good faith and posterior disagreement on the deal ensued prior to merchandise being delivered, therefore, the deal was off on account of customer insatisfaction and there was no right to keep his money and not delivering. Nevertheless, customer did receive the merchandise, accepted it and has claimed no issues with the merchandise quality nor raised claim of damages due to tardy delivery.
Case in point:
Sour as the customer might have been it is irrelevant to the applicable principles of common sense and law. The customer did pay, the seller did not deliver as agreed, the seller did not return the money at first notice of customer insatisfaction. At this moment the seller has delivered to a discount and the buyer has received and accepted the merchandise without complaining about its quality nor has he raised any claims of damages due to late delivery. The customer has no cause for action and reasonable excuses have been presented by seller as well as a discount compensation for any damages.
The thread started by the buyer stipulated that the merchandise was delivered and accepted. The thread clearly shows the buyer is pissed off. nevertheless, without justifiable cause and malicious intent is slandering the seller out of spite after the matter was done with and settled.
My veredict:
There being no other issues in need of resolution, except personal animosities, I ORDER both parties to give each other personal and public excuses here and now and shake hands and bury the matter once and fo all.

I guess there should be a stipulation in the forum that buyer feedback can only be given if everyone who wasn't involved agrees with the parties involved. I don't care what anyone else thinks about my post or how I feel about the transaction. I don't do business like he did, and I was not happy with it. Enough said.
