Rolled my fenders with the help of LS2Tiger, and i ordered a pair of 275 40s for my stock 17's. Anyone have any experience with this set up or anything similar? Thanks, just seeing what opinions are out there in this tire.

I know of one person who had these installed, but can't remember who. I remember he got away without rolling on the stock 17's. I think if you search for widest tire you will find the thread.

I have them and with the Pedders 5/16 Drag springs and no fender rolling I have no problems with rub. The traction is no better than stock BFGs but they are not as noisy as the BFGs. Wear is good and even.

I've got the fuzions. They are not as good of tires as the stock potenzas on 18's. I will not be buying another set.

Thats funny you said that, the Fuzions are made by Bridgestone and are of teh same compound as the Potenza's.

I ran Potenza's for years on my Formula and last replaced the RE750's with Fuzion ZRI's. The tire seemed just as nice and handled just as well as the RE750's. They wore very similar as well.

hard to call them the same compound...sure they are both made with rubber and share some technology but hardly the same.

There is a specific reason that the Fuzion line is less expensive than the Bridestone Potenza line...they arent made from the same compounds.

Hmm thats now what the Bridgestone reps told us. Check out the new product litature as the process and type of compound is nearly the same with the speed rating, belt make up, and tread pattern being the real difference.

My RE750's had a treadware,traction,temp rating of 300/AA/A
The ZRI's have a treadware, traction,temp rating of 280/A/A

There is not much difference there as the treadware rating is a manufacture rating and is not goverened at all, the traction adn temp rating though are a federal stimpulated test that all tires go through in order to get those ratings.

I am not trying to argue with ya, I was and am a Bridstone man and have been for years. I hate Goodyear tires as they dont make a tire worth owning in my eyes that will last. BFG makes a ok tire but it just seemed that Bridgestone is a better choice and their tires wore better on all of my cars. I only put the ZRI's on my Formula because I got the 275/40/17's for $100 each in comparision to the $190 each for the RE750's.

They are a decent tire for the price, dont cost a arm and a leg, and can handle what 90% of us do on a daily basis with no issues.

I agree with your thoughts on GY tires but I have to say, they have really gotten their shit together in recent times. While the RE750 and Fuzion ZRi may be close in compound, treadwear and speed rating...your blanket statement is what i was most irked by.

I have had them on my Mercedes ML430 on 20" Barabas wheels for about 40k miles now and I like em' a lot. No complaints here.

I've had those. They did well. I had previously ran a set of Potenza RE750s on another car. The Fuzions had a similar feeling of grip to them. Of course I've roasted them off by now. If they are at a good price, grab 'em. Bridgestone is set to phase them out in a year or less.
