05 A-4 Stock w/14k tires rotated a couple of times, went to change the oil the other night and noticed the inside of the front tires were almost bald. Whats up with that the rest of the tire has about 40-50% tread left, any thoughts? Seems to drive fine never noticed anything until then.:banghead: :cursin:

you mean like this? Not a sign of tread on the insides!! Got new tires and an alignment. My TOE was way off on the front end so hopefully the alignment fixed it. I'll see after many more miles.

thanks for the input, i didnt know if that was a common problem with these cars but thought i would check before i went looking for the prob. I dont drive it that often but thats not what you want to see when you put it up on the jack! Definately seem to be tire eatin cars though. Or maybe its my right foot?

Alignment off from the factory.
Front radius rod bushings and the strut mount bushings should be checked for failure/collapsing as well - this can lead to wear issues.
With 245's on the front, there's not a ton of clearance, so any error in alignment/any play in the suspension exacerbates the problem.
You can *try* to get the dealer to cover the alignment and tires... some do, some don't. GM TAC knows of the issue, though...
