im getting rubbing on the edge on both sides of the fender the far foward part and the far rear. for example in the back it rubs where the metal body meets the plastic skirt. its tearing the hell out of my 18X9s and no matter how much i grind it seems to keep happening.

also it only happens when i take a hard right turn, or a hard left turn with people in the back seats.

When you have people in the back you car sits lower. So when you hit bumps and corner it has less distance to go to rub. If you have stock springs go with a stiffer spring rate. It will keep the suspension from dropping as much on dips, launching, and cornering. I personally have the Pedders 5/16 raise rear springs and stock front springs.

What is the offset and tire size you are running? You could also see about having a shop machine 5mm off the back of your wheel. That will give you 5mm more clearance.

When it rubs does it take strips of rubber off the tire or can you not even tell it rubbed other than the noise? Mine rub occasionally and I run a 20x10 with 45 offset and 275/30r20(which is an inch bigger diameter than stock). You can't tell they rubbed though, so I am not to worried about it.

I know one guy on here is using them. He also has 315 Nitto's stuffed onto the stock 8 inch wheels. Springs aren't that much and they aren't hard to change out. You still haven't mentioned your wheel offset and tire size.

I get some pretty good rubbing when my underwear is too tight, lol, lol.

But on a more serious note, I used to get a slight rub if someone was sitting in my back seat with the Nittos I have. I had the air bags installed and inflated them to about 8-10 lbs and it stopped my rubbing problem. They also helped with my severe wheel hop too. Good Luck with a fix!!

I use to have them on my car until i got airbags they make the car ride rough but work and are a cheap fix for the rubbing problem.

sorry I did not take pictures when i had them installed but they are very easy to install. And u will need two packs of the booster's one pack for each spring. it took me about an hour to install and adjust.

There's just no way in hell I'm cutting the fender lip when I get my new wheels. The pictures above look like crap, sorry to say. Looks all ragged and your paint is all messed up around to the side of the fender lip.

I don't ever want to have to cut or try to roll fenders on this car. Looks like I'll stay on my 18s I have now and not worry about staggered sizes.

Try rolling the fenders but becareful it might crack the paint. I have 18" HP Design wheels with 265/45 on the back wheels and they tore the shit out of my tires.
