Pulling the trigger on some sort of sticky tire for the rears but not sure which one will fit my driving habits. They will be mounted on 18x9'' wheels. I thought about going to a smaller wheel/DR combo but I want to drive all summer long with these. I would like to get atleast 6000-8000 miles of hard daily driving out of them. Plus atleast two visits to the track totaling 12 runs. They need to keep me alive in the rain also, but I will not try to test the tires in the wet either. The two contenders are:
-BFG drag radials 275/35/18 $206 each
-Nitto drag radials 285/35/18 $268 each
Remember, the car is a daily driver and I have to make it till early November with them (I drive about a 1000 miles a month). What do ya guys think?

you're asking too much for track tires.
be a real man and get some 15's.
18's will suck ass for traction w/ them skinny sidewalls.
just sell me your 18's for my 17's and pop DRs on these, for the extra sidewall.
by the way, you need an instant messaging program so I can harass you.

Your only real choice is Nitto's if you plan to daily drive it. One experience with BFG DR's in the rain and you'll hate yourself. The BFG's are certainly better for the track and for traction but not very all season friendly.

Thats exactly why I don't have a instant messager link, so people like you don't harass me. :D

I was thinking that too, but are BFG's really that bad in the rain? I don't drive that fast when it rains anyways.
And one more question, since the Nittos are slightly wider (285/35/18) than what I have on right now (275/35/18), do they actually size out that wide in reality? Do they run narrower than most other tires in the same size?

The Nitto is 11.22 while the BFG is 10.9. And yes they are pretty bad in the rain, not terrible when brand new but as they wear you might as well be running ET Streets.
