This is the Complete kit for Front & Rear! The yellow KONI Sport shock & strut line focuses on exceptional road holding combined with an acceptable level of comfort. With 5 levels (Half-Turns) of adjustability using the external knob, you can fine-tune your suspension for optimum performance, handling and ride. Its characteristics include responsive steering, reduced body-roll and limited body movements. Externally adjustable shock absorbers make fine tuning even more easy! The front struts require modification of OEM Strut bodies. Koni provides Special McPherson strut insert bolted into OE housing after cutting top and removing old internal parts. This product is currently in-stock and shipping!

So how difficult is it to do this mod to the fronts as is written, and is there any future possibility of having a set of ready to be installed fronts rather than the need to be modded kind? Also, are these the same length as stock (no lowering achieved)?

The mod is actually very easy. We offer a similar set-up to the Cavalier & Sunfire market, and most of those Koni customers perform the mod themselves and report back how easy it is. Here is a link to the generic instructions:

The Konis maintain the factory ride height, and you can use OEM or aftermarket springs.

Matt, I can help you put those in if you buy them.

Do you have to buy both shock and struts or will you split the sets up into fronts and rears. Say, I want a set of fronts but not the rears can you sell me just the fronts or will I have to buy the package deal?

Jim,
Do you actually have the shocks in stock? Lee from Koni NA *told* me the kit he owes me won't be on my doorstep until March because only the struts are available. The shocks haven't arrived from the Dutch boys yet. Maybe he ran out cause YOU bought them all :p

Does this mean you are only carrying them until the end of the month?

Is it possible just to purchase the rear shocks? The rear shocks are adjustable right?

That's what I'm thinking.

How well will these work with a ride height 3/4-1" lower than stock?
also, can you give a relative definition to the shock/strut stiffness?
IE i remember having adjustables on my mustang and the 5 (softest setting) was barely stiffer than stock... with 3 being what the non-adjustable (sport) shocks were.
I am looking to lower the goat around 3/4" but i am not making the same mistake i have with previous cars... i am going to make sure i can provide an adequate shock/strut combo before touching the suspension.

Can't tell you about having them on a lowered car but on my car with stock springs I have the setting one from softest and they ride like stock .. if I turn it up 3 turns the car is alsmost unbearable on the road. .you can feel every crack. I have not been to the track yet but the struts can be setup to be VERY stiff.. its really nice.

Just an update for those who fell victim to Koni's lost container. All back-ordered Koni sets shipped yesterday and we have 26 more complete kits arriving next week. Fronts & rears are listed individually for those who want front or rear only.
Thank you all for your patience.

Today I spent a whole 2 minutes adjusting the rear shocks. You can slide your hand in between the side and gas support fabric covers, put the turning knob on top of the shock, and dial it to how you want it.
I had mine on firm and set them to the lowest setting. Quite the difference between the two settings in ride quality.

Those rears are kinda hard to get to. Had some Xtra adjustment knobs laying around - so I RTV'd one atop each of the shocks so I could reach-in and adjust blind. Put small indents on knob so i could tell position without seeing.

So do the fronts adjust the same way?On top of the strut tower?

indeed - very easy - much easier than the rear shocks which are located behind the trunk liner / gas tank fill line.

Adjusting the Koni Yellows is simple. While the rears require extra effort to get to, once you get the feel for it, it gets easier.
