ok, so one of my bros works at a local shop near me...MTI Racing.... and they have a set of BBS LM's for sale by a former customer...they are 18x9.5 rears and 17x8 fonts....they came off a corvette...(this is with brand new tires also...Firestone Firehawk SZ50 EP RFT's/ yeah $367 a piece on Tirerack.com/ 275/40/18's and/ $290 a piece/ 245/45/17's)..the problem is the offset on the fronts is WAY off...I think it will take at least a 1/2" to 3/4" spacer to get them off the shock tower...but I am thinking that would look like crap and maybe stick out too far....PLUS I will have to buy longer wheel studs...questions are..would that be safe? has anyone done such a crazy thing? would it be worth it? or should I just buy them and make a couple grand on EBAY off them? I had them all on and didnt even realize they were rubbing the shock tower till I tried to move the car...I almost cried when I had to put the stockers back on...

TIA guys

If you even THINK of it, then ARP wheels studs are needed at least for the front. They are longer and stronger then stock.

The offset for the front needs to be in the 40mm to 48mm range. (48mm is stock) on an 8" wheel. I have 40mm offset wheels on front and they are not "too far out" but are close to the outside of the fender.

Are the rears rubbing also?

Else you can buy then and try to sell them and hope to make some money, Which can backfire.

yeah, I read a post about the ARP studs...it ended up someone saying something about $60 for all four sets shipped....may not have been the ARP's they were quoting...and yes, the rears were barely scrubbing on the top inside edge but the outside edge was nowhere near needing to have the fenders rolled yet...so I guess if worse came to worse I could space out the rears to match the fronts...but I just dont want it to look like a roller skate...lol...

Those are 19x9 52mm rear and 19x8 40mm front. 3" lip in rear and 2" lip in front.

The lugs look alittle wierd because they recess more on the front, but the wheels don't look weird at all IMO.

BBS LM's are hot looking very expensive wheels.... unfortunately if you are far off on the offsets I would suggest you sell them rather than run with some huge spacer, not the ideal way to mount a wheel on a very heavy high performance vehicle. Just my .02... really like those wheels though. If they are LM's like in the pic I think they sell new for around 700ea for the 17's and about 800ea for the 18's

well, the EAST COAST says give 'em a shot....and the WEST COAST says could be dangerous, and wouln't suggest it...any more opinions from the other regions before I put this one on the back burner, cause I'm leanin' more towards the WEST COAST... :(

It really depends on the offset of the original wheels. I wouldn't go more then a few mm spacer maybe 3mm max. If they are really off and you need something crazy like 10mm spacers... no way.
