Does anybody run these DR's with NO suspension mods. On stock 17's.
i.e. (drag bags,rolled fenders)

Yes, I did........and did not have to roll the fenders. I now have 275's which I bought from a buddy, but my next set will be 275's.

I use 275x40x17s on stock rims with no issues. Bought them from another GTO owner who had no issues, either.

The 245's work fine on a stock car but once you get up in the power range a bit you would probably do alot better with the 275's. I had 555r's in 245 for a while but didn't take long to blow them off!

I want to run the widest tire that wont rub. Then there's the issue of a 275 fitting properly on our stock rims. I know the Nittos run small so thats a plus.

What are you guys running for front tires, the factory all seasons?

I am... pressure at 40 psi or so. Some guys have skinnies, but Im not ready for all that yet. I just need traction in the rear to get my 60' time down.

Thanks, that's what I was wondering didn't want to have to replace my daily drivers also..
I still do when I have them on the car. I only use them for the track now with the addition of the Drift R's. But I ran those as my everyday tire for about 15K miles before the switch. No fender mods at all. Just bolt and go :)

I actually run the BFG KDW. Mine came stock with the KDWS. The KDW is a little bit softer tire with a more aggressive tread than the KDWS. In California, its always Summer.....LOL

What was your average 60' with the 275 Nitto DR's?

I'm trying to see if theres a big difference in 60' between the 245's and the 275's. Obviously you would think the bigger tire would hook better.
