I got about 18,000 miles and a little over 2 yrs of driving on my stock 17 inch BF Goodrich KDWS and they are now just about shot, near the wear bar indicators? Is this about right for this tire to only last this long? Just asking.

Yes. I got about 34k miles on mine but I do a lot of highway commuting and the last 10k miles were at the very edge of being down to the wear bars. If you do a lot of stop and go driving and don't rotate too often then yes your tires will go fast. I'd say 18k miles is about average.

damn, i just turned over 5000 on my stock 18's and they're almost gone. 18000 sounds good to me.

I changed mine out at 17,500. They were just at the wear bars. And that was with 80% highway driving and little if any playing. ZERO burnouts. (hate the wheelhop)

Just replaced my rears with only 10,000 on them. I dont rotate, Id rather do 2 tires every 10,000 or so and not 4 every 20,000.

Probably 70% of my 18k miles were stop and go and in town driving over 2 yrs. I did rotate them every 6 months. ( I only went 5k miles in 6 months). About 4 or 5 times.

I'm at 18,200 on the stock KDWS' and I could maybe get another 3k-4k miles out of them (only done 3-4 smaller burnouts with 'em, but do like to corner fast and chirp the tires on the 1-2 shift). I rotated at each oil change (3k-4k miles).
Doesn't matter as Wednesday the CV8-R's in my avatar FINALLY go on... :)

Im on my 5th pair of rear stockers, 29,000 miles. Some of the fronts were included in those 5 pair though as I have moved some to the back.

ha lol... lets see, 1-2 burnouts and ive been threw 4 tires in very minimal time. when i got my car with 13,000 they gave me 2 new tires in the front and put the fronts in the rear... good tread all around. rear went by 20,000 and now i have the front newer ones on the rear and by 23,000 they are damm near bald. so lets say 10,000 miles for me with about 4,000 in the back... pretty much... ridiculous. I drive spirited but dont spin tires, but theres never a time i come back without a 5-65 run. thats with treadwear 400... that must mean my toyo t1rs at 280 are only gonna last 5000MI which is just.... asssanine

I also only got 9000 from the 17" stockers. I have a short daily commute and have never been to the drag strip, though I do enjoy the occasional burnout as well as 4 wheel drifts.
