ok,

I did do a search, and unless i missed this, heres my question

Would it be cheaper to chrome my stock rims, or to buy new chrome rims?

I dont care much for the stock rims, but if they were chrome maybe I would

I'm going to go to the dealership tmr to put a deposit....it'd be cool if i could con them into paying to chrome my wheels...doubtful though?

It depends, i've heard dealers charging several hundred dollars per wheel to have them chromed, as if it cost that much. My thoughts, chrome is ugly... But that is just my view on it. Anyhow, you'd probably be better off finding some nice aftermarket wheels in the size and design you want already chrome finished.

Local dealer here in Fort Wayne, IN wants $200/ea. plus three week wait. Needless to say, I passed.

I would think that $200 is gonna be on the low end for chrome. The stockers in chrome look pretty damn good imo but if you aren't sure about the styling of the stockers then chrome may not help much. I'd do some shopping if I were you...good luck.

i don't think i mind the shape so much, now that i think of it...its just the bland color

If you gys havent seen the other post, our shop offers chroming on your stock wheels for $625 to your door, if you dont want to have your car down for a period of time their is a core charge that is fully refundable upon receipt of your wheels, we have had quite a few get in on this deal so contact me if your interested Autodesign21@aol.com, or pm me. They are covered with a 2 year defect warranty which is awesome, and include a 7 layer coating process with a copper buff to insure smoothness, this is called a show chrome finish, only the best.
Thanks

Was that for four new wheels that have been chromed, or some kind of exchange program/core charge deal?

Thats always nice when you post up against us sponsors and take our support away from the site. Is discount tires chroming process a 7 layer, 2 year warranty show chrome like ours, or did they give you none of the specifics?

Anyone know where to get chrome lug nut caps for the stock lugs? I have chrome factory wheels (dipped), but can't find chrome lug caps to match?

I'm interested in the GTO chromed wheels also. I think they would look great on my '04 Torrid Red GTO. I would have to pay the core charge though since I can't do without my car while they are being chromed.

I e-mailed you Andy
