Friday i dropped my car off at the local belle tire and ordered a pair of nitto 555r's for the rear. I decided to go with the 275's for the wider look in the back. I pick up the car sat. morning and i get rubbing on the passenger rear side. I wonder wtf and take it back. They do an allignment and cant seem to find the problem. I mention that i was hit on that side and they say that could be the problem. Is there anything i can do to fix this i really want those 275's.

Have you rolled the rear fenders?

Use simpler terms lol. The guys at belle tire were being flat out gay saying 275's dont fit on a goat but when i would ask why does it work on one side and not the other they would quiet down. I want those freakin 275's i loved the way my car looked with them and will do anything to get those on there.

Rolling the fenders involves rolling or bending the fender lip, the part of the fender that sticks out toward the wheel, back so it gives some more room for tires.

It is true that 275's do not fit on a stock Goat - on the stock 8" rims, that is. You can mount them, but just about every vendor won't do it because the 275's need a 9"-10" rim. Many claim no problems with 275's on 8" rims, and either they're correct or they've just been lucky. Bottom line: it's not recommended by those who sell these rims and tires for a living. That said, I'll be getting some for mine soon. :)
What exactly do you mean when you say you were hit on the passenger side? It seems pretty obvious that's your problem.
By "rolling the fenders", I mean pushing the inner lip on the rear fender wells up and out. There's a special tool to do this. It will give you 5-10mm on the outward side of the tire and prevent rubbing there. I assume you're rubbing on the outward side of the tire.

What rolling means is that the inner lip of the rear fender well need to be folded back or polled, I've also heard you can have a body shop grind it away and then reseal the paint. I think everyone who runs 275's has done this!!! Your tire shop should have the tools and know how to do this, unless you live in no tech land like me! :banghead:

Adding to the all wise Padre :hail:
275s fitting in the rear wheel wells of our cars without any mods have been a crap shoot.
But if anyone esle is going to do this in the future, plan to rub and be ready and willing to roll or grind your fenders to make them fit.
We have a few members who have done it with stock rims (not recommended due to insufficient rim width -- whole other topic of discussion) or with aftermarket 9 inch wide rims with a higher offset (50mm or higher).
Some of us, myself included, still rubbed. I rubbed on the passenger side too. This is with an 18x9 rim with +51mm offset.
It all boils down to manufacturing tolerances. The fit is soo close that 1-2mm of frame missalignment, differential placement, fender welding, rim offset, tire molding, etc etc, that you can easily rub on one side and miss on another by 1mm.
Its not the shops fault to be honest, its the cars.
Bottom line: You need to roll your fenders or have them ground down. I went the grinding route. We started to roll, had way too many problems with the paint, and just decided to grind it down and reseal the paint.
I hope this all helps and makes some more sense for ya.

Man, I hope the guys grinding their quarterpanels down are having the work sealed correctly. That will start to corrode/rust pretty quick if not. If the shop is using a spray can enamel don't let them do it!
I'd insist on a self etching primer/urethane base/urethane clear - a couple coats! Be careful with this because the corrosion warranty won't apply in this situation!!!!

My Nitto 555R 275s fit with no problems on the stock rim in the rear! I think the body shop who repaired that rear fender needs to recheck their work. At the same time have them roll you rear fender lips!!!
