SSR Wheels for GTO

Does anyone know if a set a 18x8 on the front and 18x9 on the rear will work for SSR comps? I'm looking for some lightweight wheels and more rubber on the rear. Suggestions?

They are pretty pricey and i've heard things about them getting road damage easily. But the GT3 is a very nice looking wheel. I considered a set for myself at first.
