Just as the title says.
Would it cause any problems to put a 255 45 18, or even a 265 35 18 on stock 18" wheels?

My '04 wears 255s on 18s up front with a Pedders "no drop" kit, and no rubbing anywhere, no wheel well mods necessary.

I have 275/40/17 Pilot Sports on stock rears. I'm told that shouldn't work but it's never rubbed.

If you get drag bags, you could go 265 or 275 on 18s. I would still probably at least roll the rear fender lip or cut it off if youre going to have (adult) passengers in the back seat. I think 255 is max up front from what I have seen posted around here and talking to people.

He was talking about the STOCK 18s. I think that you could do 255, but not sure about 265.

I wouldn't put a 265 on the stock rim....255 would be pushing it for me

The wheel is only 8" wide and has little sidewall. The 17s can get away with 275s because of the larger sidewall...but the 18s, I really doubt it.

And IIRC, the 255 would go on a 35 section (255/35/18) as the stock size is 235/40/18; and the best "fit" from a rolling-diameter POV would be a 265/35/18.
