Does anyone here have any experience with Vredestein tires? They're made in the Netherlands and supposedly comes stock on Porsches in Europe. A buddy of mine sells them, and mutual friends rave about them. I'm looking at the Sessanta, their high perf summer tire, to put on 18" AZA Z1s if they're ever available.

I did click search several times, and never saw your post. Don't know what I did wrong. But that was a good thread about the tires. Thanks for the info.

Too lazy to start a new thread so I'll bring this one back from the dead. Any new info on the Vredestein Sessantas? Anyone running them besides jamesbiz?

I've had mine since last June, and I like them. Very good straight line traction in the dry and pretty good traction in the rain. Cornering seems a little soft, but I'm not complaining. Overall, a very good tire for the money spent. I wouldn't hesitate to buy them again.

We have them on our test car in 19". The ride is great and the road noise is quiet. The casings a little larger then the Toyo. Plus, they feel like you are driving in the dry when it is raining.

I have their winter tires which are bad ass. I plan on getting their summer tires which are not directional. Great for people with staggered setups.

I've had these tires for over a year and have put about 15000 miles on them and I love them. They grip very well in the wet or dry. It's almost impossible to spin the tires on take off, in fact the only way I have managed to get a small spin is to hold the brakes, rev to about 2000 rpm and release the brakes. Even then they don't spin at all, the car just takes off! They handle the turns just as well and I've pushed them pretty hard. What amazed me the most is the wet traction. I don't know if it's the unique tread design but these tires work great in the rain. Just to test them during a rain storm, I went out on a country road and got to about 70 mph and hit some decent water puddles and the car went through them like nothing. No hint of hydroplaning and steering wheel didn't even move like it would when hitting puddles with the stock 18's. So as you can tell I highly recommend them and when the time comes, I'm gonna buy another set of these because they are GRRREAT!!

Had the Ultrac's on the GTO (got them from GroupA IIRC) great tires, and as soon I buy 2 more rims or burn up the DR's I will be buying Sessantas or Ultracs again.

The Ultrac was a great tire. If you liked the Ultrac you will love the Ultrac Sessanta.

It was raining and them seemed to hook up well @ W.O.T.I'm sorry, but I really wouldn't trust an opinion of anyone that would do something stupid like that in the first place. they can't be the brightest bulb on the tree:eyetwitch: and what do you think their standard for comparison was?
