Hey Bro's!!
I am kinda fried right now being that I just came off three 12 hr night shifts so don't quote me on ANYTHING HERE!!! HAHA!!! But I happen to stumble across a website that sells Name Brand Wheels, Tires, Staggered Fitments & Packages. Even a picture of a GTO popped up when I selected my Make & Model just to flaunt some of their eye candy at me on my ride so I checked it out. They are actually listing Staggered Packages using 18" & 19" wheels wrapped with 275's. From what I looked up briefly for my 06, it appeared to have listed several sizes that would bolt right up to my 06 GTO and mentioned nothing about having to have any suspension mods done. Thought maybe some of you GTO veterans could check it out for us new owners and let us know what you think. PM me if you want site address info... Thanks, Joe
Oh and hey, the prices I didn't look into and don't really care, just thought the sellers site was kinda handy as far as the fitment reassurance aspect goes...
MY QUESTION IS: Has anyone ever bought or knowing tired out both of these fitment sizes on a stock suspension?

What would a PEDDERS do for me as far as ride/ use of larger wheels and tires? help me out here cuz I have way to many conflicting stories, some people are telling me that 265-Frt / 285-Rr will fit if rolled and then some say they wont.... and the same goes for 255/265, 245/275.... but no rolling required if you get a Pedders upgrade... Tell me something, WHAT FITS?!? haha!!

with 275's and 9.5" wide rims, with a +45 offset, I can not personally recommend anything short of the +1.5" race spring to prevent hitting the fender wells. I test fitted that rim and tire last friday on a GTO and there was no way in hell it would be drivable with stock springs, with drag springs it would be driveable, but would hit under certain conditions.
I've heard rumors of fitting the larger tires in the front, but the biggest that I can recommend is the 245/40/18. Most of the threads on fitting larger tires in the front show them sticking out beyond the fender, and if you hit a good bump would make you have a very bad day.

245's in the front are about max. As well as 275's out back. You have seen my setup. I have 18x8.5's up front with a 35mm offset, and an 18x9.5 out back with a 45mm offset. The Toyos allow me a little bit of extra clearance, as well as the 5/16" drag springs in the rear. I would have gone taller, but the rounded edges to the Toyo's helped that. No rolling or cutting either.
If you can buy yourself some extra room on the backspacing, do so. This will help you even more. Especially up front when dropping the ride hight. My fronts rub in NYC. I hated it. But I refuse to change my ride hight. I love the stance.

It does look killer. Around my area, I have no rubbing due to slower speed over bumps that are the size of the ones in NYC.

Hey Kurt...
What do you mean by... "If you can buy yourself some extra room on the backspacing, do so. This will help you even more." You mean... try and go with a 48 or 50 degree offset? Or should I just go ahead and add the set of drag bags that I've had my eye on for a couple weeks now but was planning on getting them later for the squatting issue on the launch mostly...) Do you thing that would help eliminate any rubbage down the road before it happens and while I'm at it, I was going to ask you another question about them before I went and bought them... what length should I expect to get in order to keep it as low as possible, would at least a 1" coil over for the rear do it?... I don't want the body off the rear any more then I have to... I hear what you are saying about stance, I too like the look of a low body line flow on my cars and not sitting up in the ass end like a toad... haha!!
Thanks to seeing your ride, I have narrowed it down to one of two Toyo Proxes T1-R or T1-S not sure yet I haven't had much time to research them both but I think you may have hit the nail on them as far as from what I have read so far... A Toyo is going on my ride fo snizzle minnizzle!! But I haven't yet selected the wheel, I've had time to narrow them down to 1 of 3 wheel designs and will select the one for me with in the next 2 days while I'm off work and get back to you. It's probably going to be one of these due to the amount of "OLD SCHOOL" lip that always seems to get me hard!! Well OK OK I only got it narrowed down to several due to color mostly and still yet to have completely researched them thoroughly. Here they are... MRR GT-1, ADR -Sterling, Ruff Racing - 278,279,280,281 and 804 and maybe the Momo - ZUV but don't want to have to take out a second mortgage on my house to get them ones... haha!! Feel free to input if any of you've had first hand experience with anything listed here...

Thanks for the heads up Rob, what do you suggest for a race spring or coil over? I do want to say that I do appreciate all the help from you been there tested that theory that are on the site! Saves us rookies a lot of wasted wheel spin time in the garage to get where we want to be with all our cars if you know what I mean... Thanks again, Joe :)

275's on 9.5in wheels with 45 backspacing requires rolling.... no exceptions.... 40 backspacing on the front will fix any strut rub issues you might or might not have.
I can't see the site name anymore because it's obviously been erased.... I just want to make sure it is definately NOT Wheelmax..... If you want the full story you can PM me.... but that company has made off with several peoples money on here leaving them with either no or defective products. I'm better off than some... I still have my defective product.... some people returned theirs.... but never got the refund.
Sorry if this is hijacking the thread.... I'm just looking out for others here.

A 50mm offset in the rear is the best for a 275 on a 9.5 rim. Fronts should be closer to 40 with an 8.5 rim and 245's.
Adding hight always will help, as well as using stiff parts to keep the wheels and tired from bottoming out.

AFAIK, forum rules forbid posting direct hyperlinks, but not names of non sponsor vendors. I could be wrong on this.

+50 is obviously better than the typical 45mm for sure, but still less than ideal. +53/54 is about as good as you can get with a 9.5" rim. Think of a 10" CCW (which are +54); depending on the particular car and owner, many have reported minor rubbing on the inner and/or outer fenders. This is a good indicator these wheels are positioned in the wheel wells about as evenly as possible and utilizing the maximum amount of space available...
Now take a 9.5" rim with the same offset. You get an additional 1/4" clearance on both sides of the wheel which should eliminate the rubbing some of those guys have reported and you may not need the band-aid solutions, ie. (drag bags) Who knows, it may even allow for a greater choice in tires... no more super rounded sidewalls!

I just put on some staggered 19's this past weekend. 19x8.5" and 19x9.5". 35 mm up front and 40 mm out back. Rolled the rear's and installed some dragbags. I'm only running 5lbs and have absolutely no rubbing, and I've put it through it's pace's plenty...
