I bought a set of these recently and had them mounted and balanced from these guys:

They show up without hub rings and vibrate like heck. I order hub rings from them which fit like loose stools (sloppy). I add some electrical tape to the hub till they fit on there decent and the wheels STILL vibrate but slightly better. I take the rims to get re-balanced and find them .5 oz out mostly but one rim has a ridiculous amount of runout. You can see the wheel moving about 1/4" radially.

I think I'm screwed but is there any possibility maybe aluminum hub rings can take out any of the vibration?

I know the one wheel needs replaced but it it typical that these wheels are just plain going to vibrate no matter what?

Are the hub rings you can order off the shelf any better than these plastic ones I have? I'm tired of spending money on crappity parts.

Hep me.

The use of hubrings will help. But you may have to rebalance them to. I got my RUFF's with tires mounted and balanced. Had a vibration, and I decided to try balancing them at work. Problem fixed. The tires/wheels didn't even have 50 miles on them.

Sorry to hear that. I got Stern's w/plastic hub rings no vibration. I'd like a set of billet rings if someone has them.

I have the stern st-1's just like those and anything over 45mph my car was shaking ...bad. But don't worry get yourself some hub rings and it will go away. Talk to pixman on here I got mine from him he machines them himself and they were a lifesaver.

steering wheel vibration? i had that and i have billet hub rings. today, i took my wheels off to clean them inside and out, and retorqued my lugs to 90 ft/lbs. vibration is 99% gone. get some billet hub rings and torque your lugs properly. it might do something for ya:)

Mine have no vibration at all. I must be the lucky one I guess.
