I've been hunting for a new set of wheels for a long time now but I think I am going to go with CSL knock offs
but I haven’t made up my mind on a few things,
1. The size:
Front: 18x8.5 +40
Rear: 18x9.5 +45 or 19x9.5 +45 ??!? Anyone done the staggered look? pics?
-I know I'll have to roll the rear fenders, but as long as they will fit 275s I'll be happy
2. The finish
Has anyone seen the "Hyper Black" in person? and how does it look? Is it more of a chrome look or is it more of a black look? Help me out there is only so much you can tell by the photos
The price isn't bad either $179-$225 per depending on size

Thanks in advance for all the help

18 front 19 rear would look sick, I'd like to see that.

The 18/19 staggered setup looks good. I've seen a fair amount post on this site, and I am sure you could find a few with a search. That being said, I am willing to bet that a few of those will post some pics this thread. Good luck on your decision!

the hyperblacks look more like a dark silver, shine and lighten up a ton in the sun, check top shelf for some z-15s(same wheel) and alot cheaper

I have been staring at the same site as you for the past 2 days as well. I have been thinking I wanted the CSL copies as well, and then saw the 7 double spoked M6 wheels (actually inspired by an Audi RS4 according to the site) and they have pics of those in an Onxy Black finish.
As far as sizes go, I can tell you that the pics above appear to both be the 8.5" width with either a 235 or possibly a 245 size tire.
I believe you can also run 19" x 8.5" without rolling / cutting and even with Pedders drop springs if you have eccentrics. Maybe you can post up the shots of the rims I am referring to? I think they are the hotness, and may actually go that route on my MBM.

1. The size:
Front: 18x8.5 +40 = YES all day long front and rear.Rear: 18x9.5 +45 or 19x9.5 +45 ??!? I know you state that you will roll the fenders, however the offset still may not give enough room? What you need is a +52-53mm offset to clear without rolling, and then the actual choice of tire plays a roll, as well as if a rear cradle has ever been done. Please let us know whatever you decide and how it all works out, I know I for one am mega interested.

I've got the 18's in a staggered set up on my car. I'm running Toyo Proxes 4 tires, 275 in the back, 245 in the front. The quarters are rolled, and I have no rubbing issues.

Just so I am clear on exactly what you have, you are saying that you have 18x9.5 on a +45 offset with rolled fenders and no rubbing?

mine are 19x8.5 front(245's 35mm offset) and 19x9.5 rear(275's 45mm offset)
I have cut the rear fenders if you dont they will rub

be careful of who you buy CSL rep from...there have been alot of discussions on the BMW boards that I frequent about issues of paint peeling or the entire rim cracking.
Modbargins is a sponsor to one of the forums and is a pretty good source

What about a +54 in a 9.5"? Think that's about good for clearance? A 275 would fit nicely on a 9.5, but would it fit on the car?

Should be ideal, although the problem is finding a wheel with that offset, period without having them custom made.According to the post above, with cutting of the rear quarter, a 275 fill work with no rubbing and the use of a narrow shoulder tire. I need to contact Mod Bargains to get the skinny on exactly what they can provide with offsets, finishes with which wheels, since the ones I referre to earlier only seem to come in a +38 offset.
Velocity Motoring V708 RS4 Style wheel for Audi and BMW, these in Onxy Black would rock I think.

I was looking at these wheels as well, they are 19x8.5 all around with a +38 offset. Would a 19x8.5 wheels with the +38 offset rub in the back or would you have to roll/cut? And also could you lower it and inch and still be fine?
Thanks!

Does anyone know if you can fit 235/40/18's in the front and 265/35/18's in the rear on the CSL wheel WITHOUT rolloing the fender? I have used the search button and haven't found anything on this. I would appreciate it if some of the members with these rims chime in. .............?????Thanks.

It's doubtful without drag springs. Even then, it might not work.

265's are not going to fit. My 245's on 9.5" wheels will slightly rub on huge dips.

I trimmed the inner fender lips slightly with a grinder and went with the drag springs and shocks by Pedders and I'm running 265's in the rear with 19 inch Z15's by AZA. No issues whatsoever.

I sort of like these wheels. Unlike most other wheels with the GTO, they seem to fit right. I must admit that the cars posted above look so much better than the wheels VQ has been selling. For some reason, those RUFF racing wheels just look off to me.
Anyway, would I be ok if I decided to go with (4) of these CSL wheels in a 18x8.5 with a +40 offset and just ran stock sized (235/40/18) tires? Could I put a 255/35/18 in the back on the 18x8.5 and not rub?
Thanks.

265's are no problem with these offsets in 19's if you trim and install 5/16" drag springs and shocks.
Never had a rub after I did this.
Prior to springs and shocks I only had minor rubbing on right rear tire.
I'm not familiar with CSL offsets.
