RA1's are road racing tires. If you're going to the track, the would be great! Otherwise expect to swap them out every 8k miles.

Since you want to mount 275/40/17, you can mount them on a 8.5 wheel with 45mm offset with the remote possiablity of rubbing during hard cornering.

Several people on this board have had good results with Nitto. Google search indicates Nitto North America is owned by Toyo Group. RA1's are really soft. My cousin uses them in SCCA raciing with great results.

I have been shopping for wheels and tires for 3wks now. I have read every review I could get my hands on. Ive decided to go with TOYO Proxes 4 245/35 19's on some sweet Zenetti Fives. The proxes are supoosed to be a great all season tire that is sticky quiet and good wear. They should be here in about 7 days. Will let you know more once i give em a good Spinnnn :eek2:
