Looking at this as an option....not going to do LT's or anything, just a catback. I just want to know if this is going to be too much for a daily driver? Opinions are appreciated!

Anyone?? I can get a great price on the SW LT's and catback but am not sure on the catback. The sound clip of the SW LT's and catback with chambered mufflers sounds too loud for me.

You wont see any hp gains just running a catback. I have the SW LTs, hiflow cats and the SW "old geezer" catback. I don't think it is much louder than stock. Nice setup as a package.

I was going to get both, (the SW Long Tubes and Cat-Back).... Buddy of mine got both of them first and I said no way. However, they do sound great just too loud for me.

My combo is perfrect. SW LT and Borla Cat-back.

There are a ton of sound clips around this site from the SW exhuast with many variations. I would run a search, it will turn up plenty of info. I probably listened to 20 sound clips over 50 times each before I chose my Corsa Sport exh system! If you want to hear that check out the My GTO Burnout thread in the multimedia section that I started. There is a nice little sound clip of my exhaust.

The SW chambered system is pretty agressive. The Turbo system is much quieter, but still flows well. Everyone seems to like it a lot. Adam has had all three, chambered catback only, chambered with RT cats EDIT and headers, and finally the turbo. They could also do a "tweener" for you using a perforated "S" tube design that would fall somewhere in between the turbo and the chambered, but you'd be the guinea pig there. No one will guarantee sound with an untested system.

There USED to be sound clips all over the place, now a lot of them are gone.

The chambered catback alone is just a tad quieter than a SLP loudmouth. It really is a nice sound and not bad for a daily driver. The drone is minimal and the volume increase is noticable but not crazy.
With headers and/or cats things get alot louder.

The one thing i will emphasize is that the chambered catback and any resonator, bullet type catback will unleash the pops on decel. What was once a muffled burble with the stock system becomes very loud and aparent bangs. Keep that in mind.

Overall i really enjoyed that setup. It was the perfect volume level for me and offered a unique tone. Actually seemed more small displacment, exotic like note. This may not seem like a good thing to some but it was a nice tone. Deepened some with some miles.

I had clips up. Let me know if you can't find them, i'll take care of it for you.

I decided on the SW Long tubes w/cats and the SW Turbo muffler catback with dual slash cut tips. The GTO on SW website is Long Tubes w/cat and the chambered system which is too loud for my tastes.
