View Full Version : Flowmaster Catback for an 05'
I know they don't make a catback for the 05's with it being split tailpipes. But I called them the other day and the guy that I talk to there acted like he had no idea the exhaust changed from 04 to 05.I told him they have spilt tailpipes now and whatever but he seemed clueless. So I said are you going to make a catback for an 05 and says not that he knows of ,nothing will be made.
I've been hearing alot of people are liking the flowmaster catback on there 04's and hope they make them for the 05.Anyone here have any contacts with flowmaster that make a few calls and get something going?

I've emailed Stainless Works and Corsa. Neither had anything yet but both had it 'planned'. Give it until summer.

You could just get the Series 40 mufflers and have one custom made..

Yes. And it would be cheaper than a bolt on. And a good shop will guarantee it for life...

I have the Flowmaster catback system on my '04 and plan on having a shop reroute 1 side when I install the '05 bumper on. The system uses super 40 series mufflers. Have to agree that the others are right in saying just get those and have a shop do the rest.

Find me a good shop that works with stainless mandrel bends and can do expert level work in my area and i'm there. Until then, I guess I jump on the bandwagon and wait.
I guess I could just get the mufflers and have a shop do it, but I would still rather have a catback that I can bolt up myself

I called flowmaster about a week ago and they said there hasn't been any demand for the 05 catback so he doesn't know if or when they will be making one.Maybe if everyone started calling them the will get on the ball!!Phone # 1800 544 4761 flowmaster tech service

You might have better luck going through one of the vendors who currently sells Flowmaster or getting a CA member to contact Flowmaster and volunteer his car for R&D.

Just called and asked when they're releasing a catback exhaust for the '05 GTO...he said "we're working on it"...i asked him "by summer?"...he said most likely. I told him how no places really have exhausts for it yet...i guess we'll see this summer. My bro had a FlowMaster on his Trans Am and he was happy with it.

I've always associated Flowmaster exhaust systems with Mustangs and Redneck trucks. You won't ever catch my putting a Flowmaster on any of my vehicles.
Ive heard good things about Spintech, but they are pretty loud on other vehicles. Magnaflow sounds like a nice performance gain with a deep sound that isn't like a Loudmouth. They will be the ones getting my business. :D

I have read from a few people that the magnaflow doesn't have that deep tone.

Yea, I actually just saw that. :( They sounded badass on Fbodys. I think the Corsa exhaust has the sound Im looking for.
