I finally made the call. I've talked myself out of these sooooo many times....

I'm getting Boyd Coddingtons. Smoothie II.

18x8, 5-120, +40, hubcentric
18x9, 5-120, +48, hubcentric

Adding Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3, 275/40ZR-18 and 245/40ZR-18 for, I hope, just the right staggered look.

Now what the heck do I do for the next 6 weeks? Oh yeah, sit here and impatiently wait. Maybe the Flowmaster system will get here and I'll get that put on, so that's something.

Go get your fenders rolled or ground whil you wait, that way not worries with your rear. With Goodyears and a 48mm OS, you'll have some rubbing.

You will need 275/35 R18s in the back to match your front tires...

The 275/35s are a bit shorter than the 245/40s, so I went for the 275/40s that are a bit taller. I can let the Predator tell the computer what the rears are.

I just noticed that. I know you already ordered them in all, but you *may* experience some ABS or traction control problems. I've always noticed that 3% variance is about max or you start confusing the abs sensors (which also control the traction control) - with 275/40s you're at 4.2% variance from stock. Can the diablo control the abs sensor array, or is it only capable of changing the speedo calibrations? Also, 1" taller tire than stock is only going to exasborate rubbing problems.

I had a set of Smoothie II's on my Lightning and they looked awesome. Two problems I encountered with the wheel, if Coddington is building them on a special order, be patient, they take about two months from the order date. Second, I wan't totally thrilled with the quality control of the wheel. There was a lot of slag from welding on the inside of the wheel and the finish could have used a few more hours of finish polish. But, like I said, the wheels do look awesome!
