I'm planning on going back to the strip (possibly this coming weekend). But anyways, my dad and I were "testing" various tire pressures and drag bag pressures to eliminate wheel hop.

I usually run about 38 psi in the tires, but dropped them to 20 psi with the bags at 30 psi. The combination seemed to work pretty well and hooked up decent.

For street driving, I returned the tires to normal and dropped the bags to 12 psi.

I'm just curious as to what everyone else is running at the strip?

I ran 32-33psi on the stock tires all the time. Even at the strip. You don't want to drop the pressure down on real street tires as you loose contact patch and end up riding on the sidewalls.

I could cut low 1.9x short times with some practice. That was when mine was still stock.

With "street level" pressure in the tires, all it would do was hop.

Finally when we maxed out the drag bags and dropped some tire pressure, we got rid of most of the hop.

And it was hooking up pretty well...
