without rolling the fenders you're probably stuck with BFG 255/45/17 DRs for the widest. as always it would help if you put M6 or A4 in your signature as many think BFGs are best for M6s and M/Ts for A4s

get MT ET Streets they are the best hands down. I would suggest getting some drag bags, that way you dont have to roll the fenders.

once again no mention anywhere if M6 or A4. they launch differently...

the M6 lanchs hard, the torque converter helps the shock for the A4, also the A4 will give consitence times

I had an S10 I s/c and i/c. I ran it at irwindale for a couple season. Was an auto making about 300hp - 3725lbs with me in the truck.

Nitto 555R: 2.0 60ft. No matter what i did I couldnt get it to hook any better.
BFG DR: 1.8 60ft and was capable of way more.
MT: 1.78 60ft. No changes to the truck. better weather?

Wish I bought a looser stall and threw the ported heads on the truck to find out how much more the MTs/BFG's would handle.

On the other hand there are plenty of people running 1.6ft times on sub 255 tires.

good luck with your goat.
Id be happy with BFG or MT's on the GtO.
