type of wheel to cut fender?

I cant find the thread that told what type of wheel to use to cut the fender lip...anyone know? also for anyone who has cut is it safe to cut past the spot welds and basically remove the whole lip ? thanks, AND YES I SEARCHED just couldnt find direct answers.

Angle grinder carbide cutting wheel. I cut past mine its basically straight down from 10 o'clock-2 o'clock position. No lip. No problem so far.

i think its a matter of personal preference on the type of wheel used in which the lip needs to be cut off. From what I've seen, you only need to cut like the top 1/3 of the lip (horizontal portion if divided into thirds).

Mine don't touch by much and I think a little rolling on the top will fix it.
